Nursing graduation photos are always filled with pride, joy, and excitement—but this session was extra special. I had the honor of capturing two siblings who are graduating just weeks apart! Mariel, a former military medic, is graduating in nursing from Colorado State University, and her brother is graduating from Weber State University. Their shared success and close bond made for an unforgettable photo session.

A First-Generation Milestone

Mariel’s brother shared something that made the day even more meaningful—one of his tassels represented being a first-generation college student. It’s an incredible achievement that speaks volumes about his determination and hard work. Capturing this milestone for him and his sister was truly an honor.

Mariel’s path to nursing has been anything but ordinary. After years of serving in the military as a medic, she’s now stepping into a new chapter as a nurse.
