The Holm family chose the perfect evening for their Bear Lake Marina Family Photos. Known for their love of the water, this family spends as much time as possible at Bear Lake, their favorite place in the world. Owning a home by the lake and their very own sailboat, it’s no surprise that the marina felt like the most fitting place to capture their memories. This was my first time photographing at the Bear Lake Marina, and the backdrop could not have been more beautiful.
A Family Who Loves the Lake Life
The Holms’ connection to Bear Lake runs deep. Every visit is filled with boating, relaxing on the shore, and making memories with their four grandsons. Their love for the outdoors and the water shone through during the session, and their energy made the entire shoot a joy. The marina provided a unique setting that highlighted both their style and the place they love most.

The night of the session was also the night of the Logan Canyon fire. Thankfully, a different route allowed me to arrive at the marina right on time. The evening unfolded into one of my favorite sessions, filled with laughter, connection, and the beauty of Bear Lake. The Holms’ session proved that the combination of family, a meaningful location, and a little flexibility can create timeless images.
