Family Reunions Are the Best Kind of Chaos
The Barton family knows how to make the most of their time together! Traveling in from all across Utah—and even Las Vegas—they reunited at Bear Lake for a weekend full of sunshine, cousin laughter, and unforgettable memories. As a Rich County photographer, I got to be part of the fun by capturing their whole crew during their family photos, and it was such a joy.
One Big House, One Big Family
The Bartons stayed in a single rental home that fit the entire extended family. It’s always so special when everyone can be under one roof, and the love and connection between this group was so evident. Whether they were helping each other get ready or joking around between shots, it felt like every moment was filled with warmth and laughter.
Cousins, Cardboard, and Creative Memories
One of my favorite details from this session was their commitment to including everyone in the photos. One cousin who’s currently serving in the military couldn’t make it—but the Bartons brought a life-sized cardboard cutout of him, and it was surprisingly convincing in some of the shots! It was a sweet and creative way to make sure he felt included, and those photos are sure to be extra meaningful.
